Roscoe the little lion

The best damn cat in the world! He has the biggest heart, and thanks to all of you people who bought prints in his name now does not have the biggest matts in his fur. If anyone still wants to buy prints in his name ( turns out I am going to need to cover the cost of vaccinations as well) please do!!!!!!

All the kind people who have helped me out have inspired me. I am trying to set up pet portraits at Wild oats dog days (July 30 at SE) for $5 a print with all the proceeds going equally to the Humane Society and MianeCoon Rescue. I will keep everyone up to date in regards to that. For now look at my handsome shaved pal and let your heart melt with Awwwwwwww's! :)

OK edited to add:

I link this blog to a few other blogs where I had introduced my new fluffy friend I acquired ( 25 lbs, thick thick mats, purr and all) this weekend. If you did not know this is a short rundown of his story. I got Roscoe from a home he was not happy in as the woman had to go to work full time. He was pooping and peeing all over the house and this had become a prob. He was also overwieght and needed to be put on a special diet( he is on special food and is getting fed 2 times a day and is doing really great on this and not complaining all to much). His fur was sooooo matted that even thought I tried my best to brush it out and he was very patient with me, but some of the mats were just to thick and long to be removed with a brush-it just was not happening. (him being so fat he could not get to all his body to groom and he did not like the previous owners to brush him). I was quoted $160 for the shave and initial vet visit. Being the starving artist type living from dollar to dollar ( surprisingly this really usually works out)I decided I needed to hustle and sell some prints at discount rate to cover the vet costs. Luckily I got a payday advance at SockDreams ( GO get some socks to say thanks to Niqkita!!!!!) to pay the vet upfront, but that would have left me with nadda at the end for things like food and gas to keep me and my car fueled up and get me to and from works. Anywho people have been great and I sold enough to cover the majority of the cost only to find out that he IS NOT vaccinated ( its actually been 4 years!!!!!) So I will need to have him tested for fiv/fip and then have him vaccinated before I can license him. This is not quite as pressing as getting him shaved was. He will be an indoor cat , but the dog goes out and could bring in some ickyness from outside. So I am off doing my "please buy more prints for kitty" routine one more time! :)- I normally charge $35 for 8x10 but have dropped to $25 just to get the cash in for him. 5x7 are only $5 now! What a deal you guys! I can assure you I wont be so cheap again! I have my studio show at the start of next month and from there its big things!!!! ( Ok Hopefully! :)- )
